Tran Vinh Luu (1937 – today) was one of the first artists who could handle many media sucessfully. His hands transformed the various painting materals to suit his themes. His greatest contribution was in sketch painting. He adored Germany Realist painter of fourteenth century, absorberd impressionist techniques, and used sketching techniques from the oriental tradition. Most of his paintings depict real-life objects.
